Welcome to Anatomy & Physiology!
What is this class about? Anatomy is the study of the body's structures-the bones, organs and tissues and how they are built. Physiology is the study of how the body works- how does the heart pump blood to the tissues, how does your immune system fight disease or form a blood clot. You can see that form (anatomy) is linked to function (physiology). Pathology is the study of when the body is out of homeostasis and disease may set in. There will be a whole new language for you to learn and I am excited to be on that journey with you!
